Ten Tips for Personalized Learning via Technology | Edutopia.

Edutopia does it again with another stellar article for teachers.  The article is short and sweet, informative, and it includes videos that help explain the article’s objectives.  Consider this a cheat sheet while planning your replacement lessons/units.

Enjoy,

This article offers clear and specific ideas as to how to differentiate instruction for all students. To make the students responsible and accountable for their learning. This means lessons have to be personalized and when planning a lesson ask the questions: is this meaningful and is it real-life instruction? It also offers excellent alternatives to the “paper and pencil test” by suggesting students can create a power point presentation, a comic strip or a video to demonstrate their knowledge. As a teacher commented, in doing so we concentrate on our student’s abilities and not disabilities or limitations. Designing lessons and assessment with the whole child in mind leads to academic success.
