Mary Anne’s comment brings perspective and Drew, you ask a very good question. I confess there are times I “become” disconnected.” Sometimes messages are confusing. It is not enough to know we are part of the “whole” What is the “whole.” How does this “whole” looks like? The video talks about he found peace because he realized he is part of a “bigger universe.” How does that communication works in our FCU world that helps us be “interconnected.” Sometimes I think in schools people get bogged down with differences and forget to “agree to disagree” in a civilized manner; when in reality we are there to serve our customers: the students and their families. It is not about personalities, egos or liking one another, but about the ideas for the greater universe in our case FCU. If we focus on ideas and not in personalities we will be connected.

Thank you, Drew for sharing this video with us. So many times we become very “fixated” with one issue or problem when looked at it from a very narrow lense. However, it is important to reflect that, although we may feel strongly about an issue, we need to look at the bigger picture. Realizing that although it feels important to us, we are part of a bigger plan and interconnected. This concept holds true whether we are discussing the cosmos, a family or a community.

Powerful……left me thinking if we all feel connected at FCU?

Precisely. What can each of us do as individuals to enhance our interconnectedness?
