Is This the Future of Medicine?

13 Feb

A recent episode of Rock Center highlighted cardiologist Dr. Eric Topol and some of the improvements, cost savings methods, and the personalization of medicine that he is practicing now and that he feels is the future of health care.  Almost all of it is done through his smart phone and wirelessly.  He says that the use of these tools makes his patient relationships stronger and empowers his patients to know and understand their health that much better.

This is truly amazing!

As a dietitian, I’d love to have skype or video counseling covered under insurance. It would remove a lot of barriers.

I am a strong believer on Rudolph Steiner’s Anthroposophical studies. This means we are responsible for our illnesses, as a matter fact our bodies do speak our minds. Every illness has a correlation to our mindset or psychological awareness or state. This doctor’s discovery really relates to Mr. Steiner’s findings and Socraties as well. We are in control of our desstiny at all levels. Educational and physical. Ilnesses are NOT isolated from our mental state. Stress, life events truly affects our health BUT the good news are once those are identified we can heal ourselves. This takes work and awareness BUT the same applies to learning. I loved this posting Drew. Thank you. So magnificient. I hope we all can have access to those apps. I am for sure search to have those in my phone.
